Our Sit Down with Jem/Marie :

Mariah : Hello Marie! Thank you so much for joining us here today at VOGUE HQ. We're excited to have you.

Marie : Thank you too! I never expected myself to be in here. An interview with Vogue is a privilege for me!

Mariah : It's an honor for us to speak with you personally! Through out these last couple of weeks the industry has been able to see and drift the kind of artist you are. What can you tell us about what you intend to achieve?

Marie : Frankly, I want people to see my vision. I want to spread uniqueness and finesse. But if you're talking about my career, I might try to be a video custom in the near future.

Mariah : Thats amazing. And wow a video Custom?! I didn't see that coming. What's your inspiration to take that route?

Marie : It's crazy right? I just felt like I needed to try customing. Anyway, I take my inspiration from anything that has a dark and romantic mood to it. Something heavy and, well gore to be precise. I usually have a soft spot for those kind of things.

Mariah : Do you feel like that's your aesthetic? And who would you look up to in the industry for customing inspiration?

Marie : You'd probably be shocked if I say this since we DON'T have the same "aesthetic". But I'm a huge fan of Tahliah! I love everything about her work.

Mariah : Well opposites do attract! She's been very missed. How do you feel about the industry's relationships in general?

Marie : I have to be honest as I am so confused right now. I don't know who's friends with whom anymore! But I really do hope the industry goes back to how it was before.

Mariah : I agree. The industry was always an outlet for everyone. And to close things out, what was your inspiration for your Vogue spread in which you included UMINC model Gold?

Marie : I took inspiration from various magazine covers like Vogue hommes and YSL campaigns. I also infused modernism and cubism to my photo-shoot.

Mariah : Thank you so much for allowing us to interview you. I feel like we got to know a little more about you. We can't wait to see what else you have in store for everyone!

Marie : Thank you as well! I enjoyed this in every bit. I hope to work with you guys more often, really I do.
